Our first stop in Europe! We spent the majority of our time in London, but we made way to see some other places like Stonehenge and Bath. Tips for people going to London: I brought my iPhone there, got a vodaphone prepaid simcard, and had free unlimited data plan. Was extremely helpful to get around in London!

When you can’t pipe an input file to automate a process, especially when you need to enter a password such as ftp-ing to some server e.g.:
ftp user@ftp.myhost.com < myFTPCommands.txt
The above fails when ftp asks for a password. This is where expect comes to the rescue! e.g.:
#myExpectFile.exp #Disable's expect's default 10 seconds timeout set timeout -1 spawn ftp user@ftp.myhost.com expect "password:" send "mySoSecuredPassword\r" expect "ftp>" send "get someFileFromFTP.txt\r" expect "ftp>" send "put someFileFromLocalhost.txt\r" expect "ftp>" send "quit\r"
Save the file and then try running it:
expect myExpectFile.exp

Apple just released Aperture 3 and I’m salivating all over it! There are tools that I would love to use in Photoshop but it’s just a hassle to switch between Aperture and Photoshop that I just gave up about it. Now, it’s built into Aperture! Wooooot!
